Description

Letter from Harry George to E.M. Lenders regarding the price of Lenders' basket collection Vol II pg. 1E E.W. Lenders 3809 Poplar St. Philadelphia, Penn Dear Sirs: Mrs. W. H. McNeal of this city has handed me your letters dated Feb. 5th and March 11th, 1912. If you will send me the photographs referred to in your letter of March 11th together with the catalog I would like to look into the collection of baskets that you have. I do not quite understand the matter of price as noted in your letter of March 11th and I would like to have you explain what is meant by the same. I think I understand in regard to the lot of 111, but the average for the 154, unless they are of extraordinary quality would be on a rather high basis. let me hear from you definitely in regard to both of these lots and explain in detail how much you expect the average price per piece will be then I can understand the matter thoroughly. I have quite a collection of baskets as well as other Indian material and am in a position to judge fairly well without having seen the baskets themselves as to their value. Yours very truly,
