A typed letter from Harry L. George to Jennie Clinton expresses gratitude for a previous correspondence and requests the sending of three old baskets. Vol II pg. 101M
Dear Madam:
Many thanks for yours of the 9th, written by Mr. J. M. Mize. You may send me by
express the three old baskets and one of the new ones After I see this new one I can determine whether I can use the other two or not In sending the baskets please mark them in such a way as to show which of them are Modoc baskets, which was made by your mother and which was given you by your uncle. I would also like to have the Shasta basket marked in such a way as to distinguish it from the balance. I have one Shasta basket and would like to know exactly which one of the four you are sending will be the Shasta basket that you offer for sale. If you will give me your Mother's name, also that of your Uncle. I will be very much pleased to preserve their names by placing them on the baskets.
Yours very truly
