Description

Vol II pg. 54B Letter from Grace Nicholson to Harry George regarding particular baskets he is interested in. May 29, 1916. Mr. Harry L. George, 201 Saxton Bank Bldg., St Joseph, Mo. Dear Sir: – I have a note on my desk that you are still interested in Chimariko bakestry. These are Coos Bay Indians. At the present time they are not making any specimens. Those I had were old ones from a Collection and these are at present in one of the large eastern Museums. It would be impossible to secure any from them. But I know of two specimens in another collection and have an option on the Collection. I do not know when I shall be able to secure it but hope to buy it sometime during the summer nad shall make a trip with this object in view. Surely will not forget your request, Very truly yours, Grace Nicholson
