Description

Vol II pg. 60B Letter from Harry George to Frank Maple inquiring as to what Indian items he might have to sell. 7/25/08, Fr. Defiance, Ariz. Dear Sirs: Mr. Wm. H. Harrison, Supt. of the Navajo Indians at Ft. Defiance, has given me your name and states that you would be able to supply me with anything that the Indians at Ft. Defiance Reservation are willing to sell. Will you kindly let me know as explicitly as possible what you can furnish, so I can send you an order and leave the selection to you. That being the only way that I can purchase what I want, unless some other arrangements can be made to bring same to my attention. For several years I have been a collector of Indian baskets. My efforts being bent more towards geting a collection representing the work of each tribe than towards makin a collection from one or two tribes. Therefore I am open for almost anything that would be of a representative character. Yours very truly,
