Dear Sir,
In response to your favor of the 14th inst. I am sending you by
Wells Fargo & Co's Express a box of indian bags with the Aleutian Cigar Case
(enclosed in past board box ^within the other )and one small Klickitat, which I found space
for in one corner of the box.
The box will be forwarded, C. O. D. as were the others that I sent you.
Please return to me in the same manner any or all that you do not wish to buy.
The Cigar Case is put at Thirty Five ($35.00) Dollars, as the lady to whom it was consigned
Namely Basket List for H. L. George, Nov. 23, 1908
This handwritten inventory notes different types of baskets, including a "Khlinket Cedar bark Bag" priced at $2.25 and a "Corn husk Bag (I believe Nez Perces)" for $9.00. Other items such as "Cedar-root," "Elatap's Wall Pocket," and a "Twine and Root Bag" are mentioned alongside their corresponding prices, totaling $106.50. The document includes a note:
"After having mailed up the box, I found I had forgotten to list the price of the old
Nez Perce Bag, but the tag on the bag will tell you if I have erred as to the price on
that. Hoping these will give satisfaction, I remain gratefully yours,"Subject
