Description

Letter from Sarah J. Henderson to Harry George discussing the bags Harry George returned. Vol 1 P. 224D Dear Sir:- Your favor of the 3rd instant is at hand: also the box of Indian Bags etc. which you returned to me. Sorry you was not suited with any of them, but thank you for our kindness in the matter. The Wenatchee Bag and the old Nez Perce Bag seem to me to be two articles that can seldom be duplicated. The former owner of the Wenatchee, lately told ^me that a number of years ago he visited an indian village where he found it and the companion bag, which ^bag I have reserved for my own collection. I have two fine small Pomo s that might please you. . Should you be passing this way at any time I will gladly show you anything new in my collection. Yours Respectfully, (additional message along the left edge of the page) P. S. Should you be acquainted with any other collectors who (corner torn off) be interested in any baskets - I shall consider it a favor if you will ?????
