Dear Sir, Am sending you a Mahove Apache plaque under registered mail, which I am delighted to secure for you the one at the Indian School is no longer there but I received the other one of which I spoke of having also been made by the one handed women. I have bought many plaques during the last two years but seldom have I seen one which takes my fancy as much as this one and had I no secured and sent home so many others I'm afraid this one too would have gone. As we sometimes say it belongs to the "old school" . It was made by Ohih. She lost her hand some where back in the "70" while fighting with the men against the soldiers. Her method of making the baskets is to hold it on her left shoulder by the aid of her stump and chin and jaw. It seems almost incredible. I have written to secure the information which you wish concerning the different reservations. I had hoped to secure this information personally ere this but have been extremely busy with reservation work. Concerning the small Pima plaque which I sent you, I was impressed by the fact this is born some resemblance to a Mohave Apache plaque. I think I mentioned that the Pia made some exceptionally fine baskets almost thread like in weave. However they are seldom seen and very high in price. Thanking you for your courtesy and assuring you it is a genuine pleasure of me to be of any service, I am Cordially yours,
