Dear Sir:
Wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter Jan. 12. January 6th I wrote Mr. Putman relative sale of my Basket.
Mr. Putman's answer I herewith enclose.
Up to date, I have not heard from party to when Mr Gutuian submitted photograph of Baskets.
Whatever arrangements I shall make regarding the sale of Collection, Im assured you will hear from me in due time so you
can make the desired selection. I prefer you to have certain prices on account of your great & valuable collection in general.
While you write in last letter my statement regarding the Pueblo Blanket is satisfactory to you. I ask you kindly to read the letter
concerning myself (herewith enclosed) written by Prof. Carlos Troyer of the Academy of Teruel, San Francisco.
Hope this letter will convince you I am not a new Collector of yesterday, but an old timer and consciences collector of Indian material.
Kindly return letter of Carlos Troyer as I wish to keep it.
Overlooked your request (in letter Dec. 23rd) concerning the oblong basket in the extreme right hand corner (fancy design in inside
and outside) in photograph ???? the collection generally.
This is an old Pomo Basket worth about 15.00. The feathered basket (the 4th in the right hand corner)
2) I sold several years ago at $100.00 (Now in San Francisco Museum)
Will write you again as soon as I hear from party to whom Mr. Putman sent Photograph of Baskets. I remain,
Most respectfully yours,
