Description

Letter from C.B. Fenton to Harry L George Esq. noting the shipment of items. Vol 1 P. 140H Letterhead from Fenton's Department Store, established in 1866, located on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Dear Sir In reply to your favor of the 28th. Will say that all my goods are marked in plain figures one price only and the goods I sent you are choices for indian prices at a very low price as for the Moqui Idols it is a very fine one. I have one other at $6.00 but it is not a Catcina. As I wrote you the Express rates here are prohibitive but as the parcel post was not safe I sent the goods by Express and will share the expense and will allow you 49¢ I will also have to pay for repairing the broken carrier at my expense which I think is fair and liberal to you. That is what I always try to be to my patrons. Thanking you for your business and hoping to be of service to you in the near future. I remain respectfully
