Letter from C.B. Fenton to Harry George discussing the shipment of items. Vol 1 P. 140A
A letter written on the official letterhead of Fenton's Department Store, Mackinac Island, Michigan, dated November 20, 1913. The letterhead features a detailed illustration of the store's building.
Dear Sir
In reply to your favor of the 17th. Will say that the goods I sent you were in perfect order and carefully packed by myself and as you no doubt noticed the long shop was tied up with and to the house. I sent these goods by parcel post to save you money on the express charges here are very expensive.
If you will have the stoop ????? by some one in your city at a reasonable price not to exceed two dollars I will deduct it from the. Those Papoose carriers are very rare ones and hard to get from the indians. In fact I could not duplicate them at any price.
Respectfully yoursSubject
