Letter from C.B. Fenton to Harry George discussing a papoose carrier and a Hopi idol. Vol 1 P. 140B
Dear Sir
The Papoose Carrier and Pouch came today. an indian woman says that with a piece of buckskin she can repair the strap stringers & better than ever.
I have sent you today by express as you request a fine Moqui Indian idol with a ????? explanation by my indian collector the other idol I found somewhat damaged and as you seem particular I did not send it. The one I sent you is one of the most popular of the Moqui Idols and and called the Catcina or "great Spanish" I also sent you a very fine Comanche beaded doll holder. If you do not want it in your collection it would be a lovely xmas present for some little girl; as soon as ???? from you I will settle up with you in full. Respectfully yours
