Letter from C.B. Fenton to Harry George discussing the shipment of items. Letterhead on Fenton's Department Store. Vol 1 P. 140E
Dear Sir
In reply to your favor will say that I never send out any goods unless I receive funds to cover the amount. My customers send me 25, 50 or a hundred dollars for such goods as they require the goods or money to be retuned promptly. Yesterday I sent 3 Navajo blankets to Cleveland to one of my customers he endorsed check for $90.00 subject to return by ??????
So you see there's no question as to your financial standing for this is the way I do business .
Very respectfully yours
