Sir:
Your letter of the 19th ???? at hand and in reply would say
the Indians I have inchrgeare very old and feeble, the few baskets
they make are rough and coarse, have only one tribe under my charge
the Digger tribe, for nice basket work I refer you to the Round Valley
Agency, Calif there being 6 or 7 different tribes at that Agency.
