Description

Handwritten letter from H.B. Ferguson to Harry George noting the shipment of "Blonde Eskimo" items, describing the same, and discussing a whaling outfit. Vol 1 P. 143H Dear Sir: I am sending you today a small box of curios from the blondEskimo as per inclosed list. It goes by prepaid express and is subject to return, any pact or all. These curios were bought out by a man who has mushed and lived in the far northern for past six years. He is a fur buyer and does not bother much with curios. I think the seal dray and etched ivory came from vicinity adjacent to Nome. I am making a display this month of the whaling outfit. A photograph gives no idea and I'm too busy to bother. Can sell it right here to our U for one hundred if I'll wait for the money. The curator says they have nothing so good and as it belongs to Wu it is wrong to send it away from the state "as Mahak curios are harder to obtain than Alaska" Don't see how I can ever ship the fifteen foot pole, any way. Please reply promptly.
