A handwritten letter from H.B. Ferguson to Harry George discussing a sled. Vol 1 P. 144D
Dear Sir:
Just want to let you know that I did not forget your order for what you
term a "racing sled" but where my usual source of supply informed me Mr. Standley
had turned in to him an exactly similar order I dropped the matter.
The sled came down to Seattle last week and you probably have it ere this.
It is the only one to be had in Nome this year and I am informed by the shopper, is
"a pretty good one" Hope it proves to be what you want. I have this small store to myself,
now until travel to Mt. Rainier sets in, about June 10th. I expect to see a few empty stores
in the next six months and will endeavor to obtain one that I can call my own.
Anna went to Chicago last August and I'm doing the work alone. For business
this location is bum! Sincerely,Subject
H. B. Ferguson
