Description

Letter from H.B. Ferguson to Harry George noting his complaint should be addressed to the Alaska Fur Company and discussing the verification letter from M.P. Foster. Vol 1 P. 142F Dear Sir: Your complaint in regard to missing articles in box shipped you should be addressed to Alaska Fur Co. I decline to assume responsibility for the errors of others. Fortunately have a witness, M. P. Foster, Collins Bldg. who will, upon your application verify my statement that several pieces were missing and that I remarked to him "I don't see why he bought this junk" "Perhaps because it is a specimen of Eskimo carving" "But it is incomplete" I replied. Mr. Foster called upon M. Kruff (A. F. Co.) but they had no recollection said "we sometimes sell as is why did he not write to us?" I'm glad my goods reached you in good order. We did our upmost to make all articles safe. Sincerely,
