Letter from Harry George to A.A. Bear discussing securing materials and noting the payment for a plaque.
Dear Sir:
Many thanks for yours of March 12th just received. I cannot explain the reason for delay for receiving your 1st letter but I find that letters are longer in reaching me from reservations than they are from any other source.
I am perfectly willing to wait until you can secure the information concerning something
? ? ? ? ? wrote you and about which you state you have written. But before you leave your reservation I would like to have this information. When you are ready to leave I would like to know where you are going so that if possible I can keep in touch with you if you are in the government service.
Enclosed I hand you for your exchange for payment for the plaque which you recently sent me, and which I believe will fully cover the cost of the same. My recollection of the amount of postage of this was that it was about 30¢. You wrote me that ? ? ? ? lost her mind in an Indian war against the United States troops and for that reason I ? ? ? the plaque for more than common value.
I will be glad to have the fine Pima basket and I feel sure the standard of same will be up to those you have already sent. With best wishes for you wherever you go, I remain, Yours very truly,Subject
