Description

Vol I pg. 23FF Letter from Harry George to A.A. Bear thanking him for the Pima plaques and discussing the other reservations in Arizona. Dear Sir: Many thanks for yours of Feb. 9th. I have sent to the post office and have rceived the Pima Plaque which you were good enough to secure foe me, and want to say I am very much pleased not only with the larger one, but also with the smaller one. The larger one is as I desired and the smaller one is differernt from any I have ever had brought to my notice or being made by some people. Enclosed I send you New York exchange is payment of the same. I am waiting to hear from you in answer to my lettter of the 5th. In addition to the information desired about Colorado River, Gila River and Gila Bend reservations I want to hear about San Carlos. Definite information from these reservations and the knowledge I can or cannot secure specimens of their work and my work so far as Arizona is concerned will be completed. I expect to get several specimens from the White Mountain Reservation by corresponding with the Indian Agent or Supt. on same. I am also looking for the Mohave Apache plaque, concerning which you wrote on January 29th that it was on exbition at the Indian School in Phoenix. Thank you very much for all you have so far done for me and hopig to hear from you in regard to whom I shall write to for specimens from four reservations named in this letter, I remain, Yours very truly,
