Description

Vol 1 P. 229K Letter from Harry George to DeWitt S. Harris asking for more information about the baskets made by the Eastern Cherokee and asking for information he can provide about the Seminoles. Dear Sirs: Many thanks for yours of July 14th. I am unable to judge what the baskets are like that you say are made of cane and splints. I think I understand what the word splints means but do not understand the word cane. If you will let me know the price of these baskets and can send me photographs of the same, I can judge better. Can you give me any information n regard to the Seminoles of Florida. I do not find their name in rector of the Department of the Interior. I know there is such a tribe in Florida and I would be pleased to have you give me such information, or tell me where I can get some if you cannot furnish it. Thanking you, I remain, Yours very truly
