Description

Letter from Harry George to Hudson Bay Fur Company noting the items he would like shipped to him. Vol 1 P. 243S Gentlemen: Answering yours of Sept. 4th, you may send me one of the "Large" pears (or Harpoons)"- also one of the "Ivory Handled Copper Chisels" and a couple of the "Native Copper Nuggets" not weighing over three to five pounds. I note what you have to say about the large shipment of curios coming from the Arctic, and when received I shall be pleased to hear from you without delay, as it is quite as important for my collection to be made what it should be as for the museums of the Eastern part of our country, to be supplied. I intend to keep all you have sent me and what you are to send as noted in this letter can be added to the same when payment is made. In shipping what has been ordered, be careful to tie the "Harpoon" to a piece of board in such way that no part of it will be broken. Yours truly,
