Letter from Harry George to Mary K. Gill asking for information on baskets she may be able to offer.
Through the kindness of C. H. Ashby, Indian Supt. Stewart, Nevada, your name has been given
to me. For years I have been a collector of Indian Baskets but need some specimens to compete my collection. If you have anything to offer I would be glad to hear from you. I would suggest that one of two means of bringing these before me be adopted: Either send me what you have to offer by express or send me photograph of the same. Of course it will be necessary that a description of the baskets you have to offer be furnished in each instance. Let me hear from you first as to what you have to offer, then I can know better how to tell you what I can do with the same. I have a couple of specimens of the Piute work, one a water bottle.Subject
