Old Russian Trading Store Dear Sir, I am sending you by next boat photos of the antique pieces of which I have. I have quite a large collection of Antique pieces. and when I say old pieces, they are the genuine pieces. I have a number of pieces of furniture from the Old Russian Barcroft Castle - doors, windows hinges nails, Russian tact buried out in Sitka in the early days of the Russians. Russian pictures and frames from the same place. One of the pieces I was offered last summer by one of the Forests two thousand five hundred for old sofa used by Gov. Bancroft, a Russian picture that was in the church at old Sitka in 1802, this old Russian style figure which I been offered a larger sum of money for as such pieces cannot be had now, it is in our museum fifty years which was used by her for receiving at Sitka the Guest of Prince Marsintoff, of the museum house, in the summer of 1857 or 1858. It is a four short posted bed carved and veneered in Black Walnut of the style of Peter the Great of Russia. I also have the old Russian copper made at the Seattle fair. They set aside a room called the Barcroft room for my Collection but I failed to ship it unless I must myself. I also have this medicine man rattles, they are very old and odd pieces. One I am asking 80 dollars the other one hundred and fifty five dollars. I was offered in Siska eighty five dollars for one of the pieces. The gentleman who is in charge of the museum here said he had nothing like it, either has he seen one like it. I have a very ????? Basket.
