Letter from Nathan Joseph to Harry George noting the enclosure of an invoice.
Dear Sir
It gives me great satisfaction to do business with a man who understands what he is buying and invoices to you only such goods. As a man of that kind would buy and feel pleased with my success as you will be to possess them. In invoicing the Curios to you I studied the prices of every article separately and it is impossible to reduce them. I did not send you the jade stone hammer (which is a grand curio and impossible to buy anywhere today) because the handle was too long to go into the box. I may find a few other things to enclose with the hammer if you wish me to send it.
Yours Respectfully
I wish to say it is impossible to get a real jade tool of any kind from Alaska today.
