Letter from Nathan Joseph to Harry L. George Esq. discussing the way he operates his business and shipping.
D Sir
It only necessary to inform you that my business is entirely wholesale and I sell my goods at prices delivered in San Francisco therefore you cannot expect me to pay expenses of delivery of any kind. If you are unwilling to pay expense both ways kindly say so and though it may be a mutual loss I shall be compelled to withdraw from the proposed trade. I am considered an expert in my business and most of my goods that I offer you are unattainable anywhere in America at any price in fact they are rare in the Arctic where they come from. Awaiting your reply.
I am Respectfully
P.S. I do not ask you to take anything
I send without it suit you
