Dr Mr George -
I have yours of 26th and in reply to the Osage Bundle, I received a letter from the Smithsonian Institute Washington DC yesterday stating The Osage War or Scalp Bundle, The Osage stick Bundle also the Osage Life tick, have been fully ???? by Mrs. Frances LaFlesche , but not published yet but expect to be soon. This volume will be full of interest - The service of this Bundle lasts about a week- so this is much more to the Osage Bundle than ???? explained by letter. Mrs La Flishe is a thorough ???? in such matters & I know it will be all right & am anxious to see it in ?????. The Winnebago Bundle was ????? by Paul Raidan and also the medicine bag I saw a copy but have none at present- The club belongs to the Winnebago Bundle as also does the piece of the Buffalo hide ??? by the beads-
Each ????? Bundle are much the same "that is Osage Bundles about the same except some have a pipe- The Buffalo ???? have case scalp & eagle bag on outside - case of Ruskes , case of Monoskins - bird with scalps bag with piece of tobacco - Soon as the public ????? is out will get intro copy or you can by applying to Smithsonian Institute in D.C. The Osage Bdls I left on Trusts, also the Winnebago Bdl. 1 pipe is all in Osage Bdl contains but some have no pipe which is requested.
