Dear Sir:
Your letter of July 14 to the Commissioner of Indian affairs, requesting a roster of the native tribes in Alaska, has been referred to this Bureau, which has charge of the schools among the natives of Alaska. No roster of the native tribes in Alaska has ever been published. I send, under sperate cover to-day, a pamphlet entitled "Facts about Alaska", by Dr. Shelden Jackson, which contains a partial list of the native tribes of Alaska.
