A. Woodland, Yolo Co, Augest 1876 Dier Cousin this leaves me well I have not heard from father nor Allen for About 4 weeks. But, I gess they ar well I gess or I would have heard from them I want to go up there next Sunday but I dont get to stay long for it is about 20 miles up there which would make 40 there and Back and that is almost a days ride up there and Back. I havent missed since I came here and dont think I will with out sickness Calls me away and my health is very good so far it keeps me busy all the time tending to the things here. Well Rosetta I have not got much to say as you know no one here. So I will Bring my letter to a close. By saying Good night to all Give my love to all. Yours truly if you can read it E. N.
