OFF THE INK PLATE: 'The Tightwad Bank' is in Tightwad, Missouri where Charles has a checking account. On his last batch of new checks he had printed along the top edge "Tightwad Bank in Tightwad, Missouri for Real Tightwads" on the back he had printed a caricature of an angry man in tux & top hat with the saying " Do you have to cash my check!", hoping some recipients would tear up the check without cashing it.
