From Margaret Sparrow: "Catherine, my mother, lived for a time with two other St. Joseph girls, Gretchen Chase of the Chase Candy Co., and Jane McPherson in NYC after her graduation from Duke University. There were many of her contemporaries passing through the city and there were many reunions and parties, etc. She later returned to St. Joseph and amrried Dr. Tyson Carpenter. She and my mother, Catherine Barrow Kessberger, remained fast friends throughout their lives."
