Querida hermanita, It's a bee-you-ti-ful day in St. Joseph! . . . . I tho't it would e a good day to drive up to Oregon, but Mama says we better wait til you are home. So . . . we will! John Olert came down to choir practice . . . to thank us . . . for the wonderful inspiration of the "7 Last Words" and Sunday music. . . . . Larrie had already thanked us, . . . . . . I sang soprano this a.m. - . . . . but they were desperate, . . . . John's meditation was quite good; he elaborated on . . . the passage he had read, . . .of the disciples on their way home . . . They didn't recognize (Jesus) until he broke bread and said the grace . . . and today people may know Him through our simple everyday acts of kindness and love. . . . . . There were lots of people in church, . . . . John had the Apostles' Creed right there today, so didn't stumble around. Fannie said the current jelly was delicious; . . . I'm going to take her some books to read; . . . . Carol Lee had her hair cut real short . . . I am really going to do a lot of traveling to Columbia in the next two weeks.. . . . , I plan to come down by bus for a Classroom Teacher meeting on the 25th. . . . . . . . So be prepared to see your sister a lot. We will all see you the 18th, . . . . . we got the reservations for Ma & Pa . . . . . you and the folks can have a good visit. Mary Ann called me yesterday . . . she had talked to Mr. Coleman . . . he told her the vacancy at Benton had been filled. . . . . Anyway she was disappointed, and her mother even more so.. . . . Daddy has a meeting Tuesday, . . all of his construction men are being called so we figure it's important, . . . . . . Well, I guess I've exhausted my supply of news (and) paper. . . . .We're all fine and hope you are too. Lots of Love,
