My Dear Daughter
I have just been down to get a draft for you, hope it will reach you in time. When you write your name on the back be shure and write it just the same as it is on the face.
I have but little news to write you this morning. Was down to see your Aunt Edd a few minutes, found her very well. Dr. ___ has a niece from Kansas City visiting them. I shall call to see her tomorrow if it is pleasant.
Mrs. Cunningham says to ask your Aunt Mattie for a pretty apron pattern.
If you have money enough I wish you would get Lizzie Ella a pair of leggins (I suppose you will know by that name) like those your Aunt Mattie got for Jeff, but as Jeff's were too small for him you had better them two or three sizes larger, his were $2.50. I suppose you will have to pay something more, you ??? not get anything else for a present.
(upside down at the top of page two - reads)
Use all your money on yourself, do not think of getting anything for me. Sarah says get a beaded belt for her if you have money enough and she will pay when you come home or perhaps she will send it to youCollection
