The Life and Work of Vincent Van Gogh seems to be divided into chapters written by various individuals about the artist, Van Gogh. The first chapter by William Gaunt is titled, "The Man in HIs Time". The second chapter is "The Artist and the Land" by John Rewald. The third chapter by Stephen Spender is titled, "The Painter as a Poet." "Diagnosis of the Tragedy" was written by Dr. Joachim Beer and the last chapter by Murray Pease is titled "The Hand and the Brush." Naturally there are many examples of the artist's work.
