L.S. Long was a physician, lawyer & soldier. He was of German descent. He came to St. Joseph in 1892. was Assistant City Physician, a professor at Ensworth Medical College, He graduated from St. Joseph Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1918. In 1918 he served as surgeon with the Philippine Inf., 3rd Brig.
He married Meta S. Bode; daughter of George & Eleanor (Wenz) Bode. His home was at 1018 Ashland Court, and office at 822 Edmond.
