Lyon, Ada, Local Historian & Newswoman, in Group, Photos (2), c. 1950s. b/w. Two photos that shows Ada Lyon in a group with other women. Lyon was a reporter for the St. Joseph News-Press, but was also a noted historian of local history. She wrote historical articles in the newspaper, was president of the St. Joseph Historical Society, and a member of the Women's Press Club.
94.1H.13 = Group of 22 women in dresses with hats, purses, holding gloves, the first row seated. All unidentified as to group, event, date, but presumably Ada Lyon is in this grouping.
94.1H.14 = Three women at reception table upon which two punch bowls, with cups and trays sit. Ada is the woman on left with patterned blouse over skirt and small beanie-style hat. The other two ladies are unidentified. undated. Event not identified.
