Each listing contains a capsule history and many clear drawings illustrating the various archetypal marks used by that maker. A comprehensive index, some 40 pages in length, is divided into six cross0referenced sections--mold numbers; dates; letters, initials, and abbreviations; names and words; symbols; and designers--to make identification a much less difficult chore.
