Description

The Malaspina Expedition "In the Pursuit of Knowledge." was a grand exploration about the globe all in the name of scientific inquiry which started in Spain and departed for the New World in 1789. The Malaspina Expedition exhibit of 1977 focuses on the survey of the Northwest coast of North America and the California coast. The artifacts obtained by Malaspina from the Nootka, Tlingit, and California Indians are among the finest examples extant of the period from those tribes. Included are drawings by Jose Cordero, artist and illustrator. This pamphlet is from the Don Reynolds library. 41/Softbound/Illustrations/Maps.
