Male employee monthly time book from May 1946 thru May 1948.
In the front of the log book is taped a letter from George W. Forman, M.D. , Acting Superintendent to the supervisor of the attendants. The letter is in regard to the salaries of the attendants. The letter states that after three months of service the salary of the day attendant is raised from $75.00 per month to $80.00 per month, providing the supervisor feels the attendant is doing a good job & is responsible. The letter also states that former employees who are placed on day duty, may be started at $80.00 per month, providing the supervisor knows the employee & knows his ability. Other former employees will start at $75.00 per month. Night attendants will make $75.00 per month.
The log book contains an alphabetized list of male employees for each month. Most of the names have just the initials of the first & middle name & the last name. There is a mark for each day worked that month with total days worked at the end of the month. Under rate is the amount each attendant made that month. Notations such as holiday pay added, dismissals, resignations, vacations, etc. are made behind each name.Collection
