Malt Seizure News Photo, Jetter Brewery, Omaha, c. 1920s. Two News photos associated with the seizure, during prohibition, of 250 five-gallon jugs of liquid malt at the Jetter Brewery in Omaha.
Top Photo: Large Beer boiler or kettle. "This picture shows one of the beer boilers, or kettles, in the Jetter Brewery, 6016 South Thirtieth street, which was raided Thursday by federal agents, who found more than 250 five-gallon tins of ''liquid malt' . The agents said this boiler, one of several in the old plant, apparently is where the malt was made. It appeared to have been cleaned of its contents of hops, molasses, and other ingredients of the products just before the raid.
Bottom photo: Rows of 5 gallon jugs. "Above are shown some of the 250 odd five-gallon tins of 'liquid malt' which federal agents seized in a raid Thursday afternoon in the old brewhouse of the Jetter Brewer, 6016 South Thirtieth street.
