News article recalling the murder of Harriett McDaniel, wife of Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney, Oscar McDaniel, who was charge in her death. While his case was pending he ran the prosector's office from his jail cell and ran for re-election. Out on bond he campaigned at a rally at Lyceum theater. He was acquitted, later moved West with a new wife, who was killed in a mountain accident (?).
