Silas McDonald, Dr. Euology, 1901. In Memoriam for Doctor Silas McDonald is a eulogy about Dr. Silas who died at age 89 from catarrhal pneumonia on November 8, 1901. He was born in Washington County KY. April 18, 1812. He married Sarah Donnell. They moved to St. Joseph in 1847. They had 11 children. The doctor and his wife united with the First Presbyterian Chuch in 1856 by letter of transfer.
