Medical Lectures Notes for State Hospital No. 2, 1939. Small stenographers notebook containing handwritten lecture notes taken from lectures of Dr. Miles & Dr. Breit. These notes are from lectures given during September & October of 1939.
The first lecture by Dr. Miles was given on Sept. 18,1939 & entitled "Care & Supervision of the Mentally Ill"
This lecture covered the following:
_ways of committing a patient to an institution
_ general care of the patient
_symptoms of contagious diseases & care of the patient
The second lecture by Dr. Miles was given on Oct. 2,1939 entitled "Symptoms of Psychosis, the Clinical Types"
This lecture covered the following:
_11 different types of mental disease & their symptoms
The first lecture by Dr. Breit was given in1939 (no month given) & also centered on the 11 different types of mental diseases & their symptoms.
The second lecture by Dr. Breit was given Oct. 6,1939 entitled "Progress of Medical Science".
This lecture covered the following:
_types of therapy & treatment for different types of mental illness
_Types of conduct of the mentally ill.
