92.48.59 = Tintype photo of toddler boy, seated in chair wearing checked dress with button front, paper folio with oval opening.. Hand-colored tint to cheeks. Handwritten on back: "Albert Messmore, age 1." 3 x 4¾"
92.48.60 = Formal portrait photo of young man, head/shoulders view. He has dark hair, parted on left side, clean shaven except for mustache. c. age 20s, wearing dark suit jacket buttoned at top, broad lapels., striped, cross tie. Handwritten on back: "Albert Messmore, Son of Jasper & Harriet Foster Messmore, 1863" Will O. Sharp, Photographer, Carthage, Ill. 2¼" x 3¾". sepia.

He is wearing a dark, 3-piece suite, buttoned at top; the women are wearing identical dark full-length dresses with long sleeves, and ruffles at the skirt hem. The lady standing wears a long chain necklace. Handwritten on back: "Albert Messmore, Annie Blivens, Ida Blivens, Cousins. " In corner, Ora Robidoux, May 6th, 1881" E.R.
