Description
The minutes of the St. Joseph City Council for 1849-1851 were transcribed from the originals by Jackie Lewin and Marilyn Taylor. Originals are in the St. Joseph City Hall - Clerks Office. The years 1849-51 were chosen to transcribe for research in the emigration years and the use of the wharf area. Blue tabs have been placed in book for references to ferries, Blacksnake Creek, the Wharf, streets, and references to emigration.
