It was at 4th and Hickory, near Floyd School. In 1957, the state bought all of the property on the west side of 4th street to build a highway from the Missouri River bridge to the stockyards, which is now Missouri 759 Highway, otherwise called Stockyards Expressway. The property is now an empty lot with a highway running close by. Mr Chapman then bought Owen Henson HY-KLAS #14 store that was located on the corner of 20th and Messanie and called it Chapman's Thriftee.
