Missouri Newspapers: When and Where is a compilation of nearly six thousand publications that have appeared in the state and where they are located. This publication has been arranged in alphabetical order according to the communities in Missouri. Following the name of each newspaper is the frequency of publication.
An effort has been made to determine the starting dates as well as the ending dates for these newspapers. In nearly half of these listings, copies of the papers are available, either at the State Historical Society in Columbia, MO. or in one or more of the several hundred sources surveyed.
