Bill Mooney born in 1921 was a Navy fighter pilot in World War II, shot down during the Battle of the Philippine Sea and spent 17 days at sea before rescue. Several of the saddles he built are in Museums including the St. Joseph Museum and the Smithsonian. Original digital scan located on History CD 04
