Page 2 includes articles concerning the Civil War. Of particular note: "Savannah Pic-Nic" an event said to be led by secessionist preachers and causing a controversy. "Rebel Hatred"--an editorial on the 'demented' procedure of rebel troops destroying crops,etc. in the South. A note that Congress is considering an emancipation bill.
