Museum People is a collection of stories about the people who collect, curate, exhibit, research, travel, clean, and keep track of the millions of objects, animate and inaimate, that are systemmatically conserved to create a picture of our nation's life in past and present at the Smithsonian Institution--the Nation's Attic. Among the curators interviewed are those involved in inaugural gowns, a lizard keeper, a crate builder, a volcanologist, a photographer, a film-maker, and even a freeze-drier of animal specimens.
