The National Parks Portfolio is the fourth edition of an earlier work. This book has been updated with the addition of newer national monuments. There is a table with the demographics of the parks of the United States, followed by sections of information and black & white photographs of 19 national parks and 16 national monuments. There is also an explanation of the difference between a national park and a national monument - a park should have park-like area while monuments are confined to the object conserved, but several have large areas.
