Name/Title

Oregon Trail Diary of Rev. Edward Evans Parrish in 1844

Entry/Object ID

Description

The Oregon Trail Diary of Rev. Edward Evans Parrish in 1844 gives no reason why he uprooted his family and left for Oregon. He was in no hurry to get there for he took breaks and spent a week at Whitman Mission. He was a Methodist minister but did little in that field. He took a Donation Land Claim in Marion County and farmed land which is now part of the City of Salem. His work in Oregon and his genealogy make up this book. 96/Softbound/Maps/Photographs
